Qardom (Axe) - Archaeological excavations

Back to "Our Activities" page

Qardom (which means pickaxe in Hebrew) is a division of the Israeli Institute of Archaeology dedicated to archaeological excavations and other archaeological services.
Qardom excavations are directed by graduates (M.A., Ph.D.) of the archaeology departments of Israeli and foreign universities. All of our excavation directors are qualified and certified by the Israel Antiquities Authority.
Qardom's excavations are carried out under the auspices of the Sonia and Marco Nadler Institute of Archaeology at Tel Aviv University.
Qardom executes archaeological projects for governmental companies, municipalities and private companies.
Besides the IAA, Qardom and the Israeli Institute of Archaeology is the largest and most experienced archaeological operator in Israel. It is our goal to execute our projects efficiently and thoroughly, while upholding the highest archaeological and scientific standards.
